My name is Sage Erickson. I’ve been writing since I was seven with my debut comic Spy Duck. It’s safe to say I’ve grown substantially in the following years, delving heavily into tv show script development, and my main interests are fantasy, sci-fi, new worlds, and relatable, interesting characters.
My main inspiration comes from the strong emotions I experience in my life. For example, my in-progress pilot Abandoned leaning into my feelings of isolation and abandonment to drive the story while its themes of community come from the way people overcome trauma in their lives.
Another in-progress pilot of mine, Ex-Acting, draws heavy inspiration from feeling worthless in the relationship I care so deeply about, and how that worthless feeling amidst deep love for another person and either drive a person to despair or lead a person to making rash decisions for the sake of proving one’s love and commitment to the person that matters most to them.
Quivering Lobsters is my way of laying my writing bare, documenting every step of the process, and then posting the final drafts to my portfolio for professional use. I hope you all find inspiration from my struggle… as I also hope to do.
